Licensed Psychologist · Portland, OR
Individual therapy for adults in Portland — in-person in the Alberta Arts District, or by telehealth anywhere in Oregon. Warm, evidence-based, and paced to you.

Welcome
If you've landed here, something inside is asking for attention. Maybe the anxiety has quietly grown louder. Maybe a season of life ended, and you're not sure who you are on the other side. Maybe you've been holding it all together for a long time, and you're tired.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human — a real conversation between two people, grounded in warmth and honesty, guided by research and clinical training. My job isn't to fix you. You're not broken. My job is to walk beside you as you make sense of what's here, and to help you build a life that feels more like your own.
Whatever brought you to this page, you're welcome. When you're ready, I'd be honored to hear your story.
What I Help With
Learn to quiet a racing mind and reconnect with the present. Together we'll build tools that fit your daily life.
Move from heaviness toward meaning at your own pace. Compassionate, evidence-based support for the long road back.
Career shifts, moves, loss, becoming a parent. We'll make sense of what's changing and who you are becoming.
Explore patterns that keep showing up in the people you love. Grow the connection you want with yourself and others.
Safe, paced work with what still lives in the body. You set the speed; I hold the container.
Loosen the grip of never-enough. Reclaim rest, play, and a gentler inner voice.

About Dr. Calloway
I became a psychologist because I believe deeply in the quiet, radical work of paying honest attention to a life. For over a decade I've sat with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the long tender work of becoming who they are. My style is warm and collaborative — you'll never be lectured at or diagnosed from a distance.
Alongside our conversation, I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, adapting each to the person in front of me. Healing, in my experience, is less a destination than a way of walking.

What clients say about our work
For the first time in years, I feel like I can breathe. Sarah's patience made it possible to look at things I'd been avoiding my whole life.
I came in exhausted from holding everything together. I'm leaving with tools that actually work and a softer relationship with myself.
Therapy here doesn't feel clinical. It feels like being met, gently and honestly, week after week.
Questions
Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients start weekly, and we adjust from there together based on what feels right and sustainable.
Yes. I see clients in-person at my Portland office and via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for anyone located anywhere in Oregon.
That's completely welcome here. We'll take the first session at your pace — no assumptions about what you 'should' know or share.
The free consultation is exactly for this. Fit matters more than any credential, and I'll happily refer you elsewhere if I'm not the right match.
Yes. Everything shared in session is protected by law and HIPAA, with narrow legal exceptions I'll walk you through in our first meeting.
